Spanish Burglar Bars
Robust Burglar Bars on the outside of your property.
The Spanish burglar bars have a cage-like design and are made up of vertical solid-steel bars that cross horizontal bars at various intersections. These bars are fitted to the exterior of the windows and are suitable for all homes and businesses.
The top and bottom bars of the Spanish bars are bent toward the walls to give them a cage-like appearance, and they are manufactured to be larger than the window opening. The actual window section then extends outward and away from the window, providing security even when your windows are left open.
The Spanish burglar bars are hot-dipped galvanised (coated to a thickness of around 80 microns), so that they can be installed on the outside. They are also put through a 5-stage chemical wash to make sure the steel surfaces are smooth. You have the choice of the bars being installed as is or that can be polyester powder coated in a colour of your choice to suit your property. If you choose the powder coated option, we apply a minimum coating of 80 micron to ensure that they stand the test of time and make them weather resistant.
Spanish burglar bars have a particular advantage that they must be sawed or hacked through in order to be broken through, which makes noise that is not ideal for an intruder.

What you need to know
- The Spanish bars are made up of solid steel square tube bars. Dimensions: 10mm x 10mm horizontals; 12mm x 12mm verticals.
- They are hot dip galvanised (coated to a thickness of approximately 80 microns) to ensure rust protection.
- They are powder coated with Exterior Polyester to eliminate fading from the sun.
- Snap off bolts secure the Spanish Bar to the wall.
